St. James College of Nursing was started in the year 2002 as a commemoration of the silver Jubilee of Irinjalakuda diocese, to bring forth academically excellent professional nurses. Presently we have BSc nursing (19 th batch) and P.B.BSc nursing (9 th batch) programmes running successfully. The premises are naturally beautiful adorned by Chalakudy River. Since its inception, it has trained number of nurses whose outstanding skills and competence in healthcare have won praise not only in India but in several countries abroad.

St. James College of Nursing emphasize on value education, intellectual development and practical skills of the students so that they can excel in their nursing career. The college aims at overall development of students by igniting their mind with knowledge and fill their hearts with the spirit of divine. We have experienced and well qualified faculty members in all specialities to bring out best of the potential in each student.

Today with six departments, St. James College of Nursing has left an incredible mark on curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The results of our college, due to the dedicated service and cooperation of all concerned, have been praiseworthy. Apart from excelling in academics, the students have proved their glorious achievements in splendid events in unit, zonal and State level. Individual talents and innovations are constantly encouraged by the management by providing additional facilities to achieve excellence in nursing education and ethical behaviour. These ventures help the students to evolve into truly global nursing professionals and citizens.
